About the site

This information can be used to help build a family tree, but more importantly perhaps to get an intimate view of the lives of grandparents, great grandparents and other ancestors in the Edwardian era, that is, before the Great War and before Partition. The site can also be exploited to build street, neighbourhood and community histories.

Who can benefit from the site

We are all naturally interested in our families and our kinfolk, So, in the first instance, this site can be used by individuals interested in tracing their ancestors. It is also used by family, local and national historians and by teachers and students engaged in studies of their local neighbourhood or community
